It works very well to extract cocaine, benzoylecgonine, ecgonine methyl ester and norcocaine.
We switched several years ago from a vacuum manifold, which was very difficult to use and did not hold as many samples. This manifold holds 48 samples, and is set up in rows of 12. It is very easy to add solvents/reagents to the solid phase columns, because of the layout.
Well-made and easy to use. They are very no hassle and always come clean and ready to use. UCT was great for helping get system set up and going along with troubleshooting any issues we encountered.
The UCT columns are very easy to use – they don’t require a pre-wash step. I get very consistent results. I have used other manufacturers SPE columns, and I find the UCT columns to be best!

The product tested the highest out of all that we have reviewed. The packaging with the narrow opening makes delivery of the salts easy and clean.
This product is definitely a game-changer. It’s super easy and quick to use. It takes couple seconds to filter the extracts on the centrifuge. No need to apply any pressure at all. Simply centrifuge for 30s, and the extracts will automatically transferred to the bottom of the cartridge. It saves a lot of time when it comes to sample preps.
Ease of use: beta-gluc comes in convenient size options. After sales care: prompt delivery, refrigerated packaging, no issues with use while refrigerated. Value for money: Reasonably priced and can rely on product to produce consistent results.
The XCEL well plates are the most efficient SPE system on the market today, in terms of cost, throughput and laboratory footprint. We have traditionally used the phase with conditioning steps, and have now begun to realize the advantages with exploiting their ability to skip this extra step, saving solvent and time. The staff at UCT has been nothing short of outstanding in terms of customer service, follow-up and support.
I never take the time to write stuff like this, but this experience has truly been an anomaly — in a very good sense of the word.
