Minnesota is the latest state to offer legalized medical marijuana

Beginning July 1, 2015 patients in Minnesota will be able to begin to fill prescriptions for medical marijuana.  The Minnesota law is one of the more restrictive nationally, with the cannabis only being able to be taken in pill, oil or liquid form.  In addition the state has placed several restrictions on growers, manufacturers and dispensaries.  To date only two companies have been certified growers and manufactures in the state and roughly 8 dispensaries.  Minnesota Public Radio has run a series of articles relating to the upcoming opening of medical marijuana.  Their articles can be found here: http://www.mprnews.org/topic/medical-marijuana.

As part of an ongoing QC program, manufacturers need to ensure consistent potency and purity of product.  UCT offers a range of clean up products including our CLEAN SCREEN THC SPE columns, and CLEAN SCREEN FASt THC columns as well as QuEChERS pouches.  These can be used clean up marijuana plants to determine impurities and pesticide residues as well as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), and cannabinol (CBN) content.
